Here’s Apple’s series summary and the latest trailer:

“Widow’s Bay” is a charming island town 40 miles off the coast of New England. However, something is hidden beneath the surface. Mayor Tom Loftis (Matthew Rhys) is desperate to revitalize his struggling community. There’s no Wi-Fi, cell phone reception is weak, and he has to deal with superstitious locals who believe the town is cursed. He wants these people to respect him. But they don’t. They see him as soft and cowardly. And he really is. But Loftis is determined to build a better future for his teenage son and turn the island into a tourist destination. Surprisingly, he is successful: tourists are finally coming. Unfortunately, the locals were right. After decades of tranquility, old stories that seem too absurd to be true begin to resurface.
