Yesterday, Apple released the beta 2 version of iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and more for developers, and today the public beta version has also arrived.

Expectations for iPadOS 26.5 Public Beta 2 and Others

If you are part of Apple's public beta program, new software updates are available to install today.

Anyone can join the beta software program by visiting beta.apple.com to receive upcoming updates for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more in advance.

Today, Apple released public beta 2 for iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, and more.

The new releases are exactly the same versions that were sent to developers yesterday.

In testing conducted over the course of a day, the changes appear to be quite minimal compared to beta 1.

Apple Maps offers a pop-up containing details about ads that will begin in the US and Canada this summer. Otherwise, it was hard to find anything new.

Beta 1 of iOS 26.5 and the accompanying updates brought end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging in the Messages app, a new Suggested Places feature in Maps, and some smaller updates.

We will continue to keep you informed about other changes found in beta 2.
