With iOS 26, Apple has introduced a refreshed experience for airline flight cards in Apple Wallet. As of today, this feature is supported by the four largest airlines in the United States.

Delta, United, and Southwest began supporting the iOS 26 flight card experience last year.

Now, American Airlines has officially joined this trend by supporting significant new flight card features in Apple Wallet.

In the release notes for the latest update to the American Airlines iPhone app, the company states:

Your flight card comes with a new look that includes more features like Apple Maps, destination guides, and quick shortcuts to the app. You can also track your luggage and open the "Find My" app directly from your flight card.

With the new flight card experience, Apple Wallet displays all the important details about your flight. This includes in-depth airport information in Apple Maps, support for sharing your flight information with others, and quick access to track your luggage equipped with AirTag in the "Find My" app.

The transition to American Airlines marks an important milestone for this new feature, as American is the largest airline in the U.S. by annual passenger count.

Previously, flight cards in Apple Wallet only provided basic information about your flight, without any new features.

With today's transition to American Airlines, the refreshed flight cards in Apple Wallet are now supported by the following airlines:

  • American Airlines
  • Delta Airlines
  • United Airlines
  • Southwest Airlines
  • Air Canada

Apple has committed to supporting this feature for other airlines including JetBlue, Jetstar, Lufthansa Group, Qantas, and Virgin Australia.

So, now when your American flight inevitably gets delayed, at least you'll have a nicer flight card to look at while you wait.
