Apple has released the second iOS 26.5 beta version for developers. iOS 26.5 beta 2 comes after two versions of the first beta release. The second version has now become the first public beta release of iOS 26.5.
Features and Changes in iOS 26.5
Although there are no Gemini-supported AI features, the update includes several changes.
The most notable new feature in iOS 26.5 is found in the Maps app. The new "Suggested Places" feature is now part of the search section in Apple Maps.
Apple is also continuing to test end-to-end encryption for RCS in the beta version.
Specifically in Europe, Apple is testing the ability to relay Live Activities to third-party accessories.
iOS 26.5 may also support monthly payments for annual subscriptions with a commitment at a discounted rate.
