Apple TV is having a great summer season with the return of Ted Lasso, Dark Matter, and more. However, the current lineup of the streaming platform is also quite intriguing and will become even more interesting this week.
Your Friends & Neighbors and For All Mankind will meet this week with Margo’s Got Money Troubles
Many Apple TV series wrapped up their last seasons last week, including the excellent Shrinking.
However, the streaming platform still has a strong broadcasting schedule, which will get even better.
Among the current Apple TV series, there are two shows that stand out particularly among critics:
- Your Friends & Neighbors
- For All Mankind
Your Friends & Neighbors quickly returned for its 2nd season after premiering last spring. Overall, it seems to be receiving better reviews than the 1st season, holding an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I have only watched the first few episodes so far, but I really enjoy the new season.
For All Mankind is still in the early stages of its 5th season, but our own Zac Hall has watched the entire season and loved it. Critics feel the same way, as the show's return has garnered a strong 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Now, as of this week, a third critically acclaimed title will premiere on Apple TV.
Margo’s Got Money Troubles will premiere with its first three episodes on Wednesday, April 15.
The new series is a comedy-drama produced by David E. Kelley, based on the bestselling novel by Rufi Thorpe. It features Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, Nick Offerman, Thaddea Graham, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, and more.
Here is Apple’s synopsis:
“Margo’s Got Money Troubles” is a bold, heartwarming, and funny family drama that follows the story of Margo (Elle Fanning), a recently college dropout who aspires to be a writer and must deal with a new baby, rising bills, and dwindling ways to pay them.
The series premiered last month at SXSW and received rave reviews, holding a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
All three top-tier shows will release new episodes at least until May 20, with some continuing even longer.
