Apple has made a change to its iWork suite on Mac by removing the old versions of Pages, Keynote, and Numbers from the App Store and leaving only the new versions that support Apple Creator Studio.

iWork Apps Now Available Only with Creator Studio Versions on Mac

Earlier this year, Apple Creator Studio was launched as a new package consisting of professional-focused applications for creators.

This package provides access to applications like Final Cut Pro, Pixelmator Pro, and Logic Pro while also offering exclusive features in Apple's free iWork apps: Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.

On iPhone and iPad, Apple introduced the new Creator Studio features as updates to the existing App Store versions.

However, on Mac, this transition was much more confusing.

Apple continued to keep the old iWork apps for Mac in the App Store and launched completely separate iWork versions with Creator Studio features.

But as of today, this odd situation has come to an end. According to Aaron Perris, Apple has officially removed the old Pages, Keynote, and Numbers apps from the App Store.

If you previously downloaded these apps, you can still find them in your download history and re-download them from there. However, new users will only see one option in the App Store: apps compatible with Creator Studio.

To be clear: Pages, Keynote, and Numbers are available for free download on Mac. You do not need to be a Creator Studio subscriber to use most features.

However, a drawback of the freemium versions is that they contain content that encourages you to subscribe to Creator Studio to unlock the full feature set.

Are you still using the old iWork apps, or have you switched to the new versions? Let us know in the comments.
