Criminal Record Season 2 Reviews Highlight a Strong Second Season

In recent years, Apple has rapidly expanded its catalog of thriller series. So much so that thrillers have become the most common genre on Apple TV.

Next week, the critically acclaimed crime thriller series set in London is returning with a new season.

Criminal Record season 2 will premiere with its first episode on Wednesday, April 22, and weekly episodes will be released until June 10.

The series features Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo as rival detectives who must form an unexpected alliance.

The Criminal Record season 2 trailer was released last week and showcased a high-stakes story focusing on a domestic terrorist group planning a bombing.

The first season received a strong 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising the two lead actors and the compelling mystery.

Early reviews for the new season have come in, and it appears to be another winner.

  • FandomWire: "If you're a fan of Criminal Record season 1, you're in for a tremendous experience with a better second season."
  • The Spool: "as impressive as the first season"
  • Leisure Byte: "Season 2 is more ambitious and is able to present the world-building it aims for."
