Apple has announced new beta releases. Developer beta 2 for iPadOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and more are now available.
Apple Releases iPadOS 26.5 beta 2 and Other Updates
The new beta versions of Apple's upcoming 26.5 software updates have arrived.
If you are on the developer beta version, Apple has released beta 2 for iOS 26.5 and macOS 26.5. Additionally:
- iPadOS 26.5
- watchOS 26.5
- tvOS 26.5
- visionOS 26.5
- HomePod 26.5
No public beta versions are available yet. However, Apple is expected to introduce these same software versions to public beta testers in the coming days.
The first round of the 26.5 beta included support for RCS end-to-end encrypted messaging in the Messages app, a new Suggested Places feature for Apple Maps, and some minor changes.
Unfortunately, there was no clear evidence of Siri's AI upgrades in beta 1 of 26.5.
While it seems that major Siri changes are waiting for iOS 27, we will inform you if anything new is discovered in today's beta 2 releases.
Based on Apple's usual timelines, we expect iPadOS 26.5 and other 26.5 updates to be publicly released around mid-May.
